We cannot overlook the amazing fact that the history of Finepearls is a story of God’s faithfulness and love. Over the years, different people —to whom we are forever grateful—have obeyed and followed God’s leading to make Finepearls a reality. Some of the people that have been used by God in the formation of our story are the Christian Missionary Fellowship International (CMFI) Team Leaders—Mr. and Mrs. Nyisomeh—who have mentored and prayed for our Pastoral team leader.
Our story began in November 2007 with five teenagers who were attending Watoto Church. These five teenagers came together to pray regularly and reach other teenagers. After prayerfully searching for a name, they decided to call themselves Finepearls. The inspiration for this name was birthed from Matthew 13:44-45. As the years went by, the group expanded.
In September 2010, the original group members graduated from University and launched two youth movements: Generation Jesus and The Esther Women. Generation Jesus was aimed at discipling university students while The Esther Women was aimed at discipling young adult women.
After 5 years (in 2015) the group added another movement called Unashamed. This movement was targeted towards high school students.
Eventually—in January 2018—The Finepearls Church was registered and planted with the help of our mentors at CMFI. The first sitting happened at the Ministry offices on Oluka Close Ntinda with 10 members.
We cannot capture the whole details of our story, but the thousands of lives we have seen changed by God through our love and service to His people tell our full story! The Finepearls story will never be a one man’s story but one of numerous people that have tirelessly worked with us over the years to give their all in loving and serving God’s people. We have always been one family, loving God and loving His people—this is our story!
